On first listen, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was a full blown band but this is a one woman music-making machine. This Australian artist is at home on twelve different instruments and this album is a showcase of her raw musical talent across every discipline.
True to her distinctive sound, this soulful record is a journey through a blend of psychedelic reggae and rock, loaded with daytime grooves. From vocally led tracks like ‘Salvation’ into a 9-minute musical masterpiece in ‘Blackbird’ that has long-winded guitar solos that’ll kick start your day.
‘Flow State’ is Tash Sultana’s debut album following on from her ‘Notion EP’ which took her from busking in the streets to selling out international venues on the back of her breakthrough track ‘Jungle’.
Her recent sold-out tour across the UK and Europe is a testament to the quality of this album, and the fact that you’ll find Belushi’s staff fighting for tickets is proof you’ll be hearing a lot of this in our playlists.
