Is it too early to call this the album of 2018? You may have never heard of the dance punk duo, DZ Deathrays but you won’t forget them after Bloody Lovely blows you away from the very first chord.

The boys from Brisbane are back, favourites of Belushi’s since we went mad for their infamous Jager binge track, The Mess Up. According to a recent interview, the track ‘High’ on this album was inspired by their EU Tour with the Dune Rats in Amsterdam where they played with us at Belushi’s in our Winston Kingdom nightclub.

This album is 37 minutes of raw, relentless rock ‘n’ roll best heard on the album’s lead track, ‘Shred For Summer’ which pays homage to shred legends Led Zeppelin. This ripping tune reached number 67 in the Triple J Hottest 100 and is fastly becoming a cult classic in the bar.

'Don’t be surprised if these guys pick up a few awards for this one'

With almost every song worthy of a spot in our playlists, this is by far DZ’s best and most mature album to date. Don’t be surprised if these guys pick up a few awards for this one and stay tuned for European tour dates this Summer - Rest assured wherever the gig is you’ll find Belushi’s staff front row.
