The Golden Jester Comedy Awards have arrived...

The comedy kicks off at 7.30pm but to get a good seat arrive in advance. To ensure you have a great evening we have provided some special comedy drinks offers including:

The Golden Jester Comedy Nights - History
This is based on Great Comedy Nights, started by Alan Sellers back in November 2010.
Alan said: ”I ducked out of the entertainment business for a while but two-years ago I took up the challenge of the stand-up comedy circuit. I soon realised that apart from the well known comedy venues in Central London, there was a lack of professionally run gigs for new comedians to perform at, throughout the South East.“
The Golden Jester comedy competition was started to address this issue. In its first year, it attracted 160 comedians from all over the South East. The competition format is entirely transparent and audience members get to vote for their favourite act. Votes are totalled and the winning acts are announced on the night. The day after the performance, all acts receive their scores by e-mail so they can see how they compared against the other comedians.
Alan adds: ”The fantastic support from Belushi's and St Christopher's will take the competition to a whole new level. We already have 360 comedians registered for the Golden Jesters in 2012, and given the support that Belushi’s are giving to Great Comedy Nights and The Golden Jesters, I'm sure we will have over 500 comedians enter for the second year.“
